The whole experience was great! From the shuttle to the front desk. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location is about 5 minutes from the airport and they have a restaurant on site that has amazing breakfast. I would definitely come back here again.

The room was clean and it’s very convenient to the airport. However there’s no elevator so you have to carry your bags up the stairs or use a bellhop. The restaurant food was good but the service was very slow. A complimentary breakfast is not included, which, for the price of the room is pretty chintzy.

We had dirty linen in our bathroom from previous guest. Bed mattress was uncomfortable. Pillows were large and too bulgy for our tastes and there was no thinner one available. There was only one coffee cup in our room for two people. The front desk staff was pleasant but seem poorly trained to help us with what we felt was a simple request for assistance with a transfer to float plane address .9 m away. Shuttle driver was pleasant. Bellman was pleasant and helpful

I have to say I am very disappointed with my experience at Coast Inn. There was a convention or something going on during my stay and all the people were completely blocking the hallways and taking over. I felt frustrated because they would not even move out of the way each time I was trying to get through the halls with my stuff. I feel they were only catering to the business people and did not care about anyone else staying there. They do not have any breakfast included just the Pipers restaurant down the hall that you can go to or get room service. I also heard slamming and loud noises throughout the night. I am not sure if people were fighting or what the deal was but I was too tired to get up and deal with it. I also saw security trying to get some random guy out of the hallway as he was trying to get in through the side door. The hallways smelled like weed pretty heavily throughout my stay. Overall I just feel for the price you can go somewhere with good service, a better quality room, and be more comfortable. Everything in the room felt cheap and the only people they cared about greeting or talking to were the people from the convention. The only good thing I would say about Coast inn is location because the airport is 5 mins away. They do also provide a shuttle at least.

Good location to view Lake Hood & the seaplanes. Bad at night as the ANC airport runway is across the street. I was awakened a couple times each night from jet noise. The restaurant & outside deck are nice, but on a nice day they are packed. The draft beer selection is adequate, but half of them were empty, for 2 days. Food is good, but small portions for the price. Many customers are not guests of the hotel so we did not get any priority. My stay was early June 2024. One very nice afternoon it was packed. Found 2 seats outside, waited 15-20 minutes but didn't get a server. We left. They were severely under staffed. It is an ok hotel, but over priced for the accommodations. Free airport shuttle. Access to downtown is not within walking distance..
